Vaser LipoSelection – Gentle, Minimally Invasive Lipo Using Ultrasound

What is Vaser LipoSelection?
Ultrasound technology has been used in medicine for years to get that first glimpse of a baby, to remove cataracts and even to clean teeth. Now the power of ultrasound can also be used to remove unwanted fat deposits, with low to minimal pain.

How Does Vaser LipoSelection work?
Vaser LipoSelection combines new patented technology with advanced surgical techniques to break up and remove fat while leaving surrounding tissue relatively intact.   Tumescent liquid (a saline solution mixed with anesthetics) is injected into the body area being treated.  Instead of using a manual movement to break down the fat tissue (you might recall those rather disturbing videos of early lipo patients and the doctor pulling a large vacuum needle in and out that was sucking out the fat), Vaser uses high-frequency ultrasound to break apart fat cells.  The vibration gently disengages and loosens the fat cells and emulsifies the tumescent fluid that has been infused into the body area.  A small cannula is then used to remove the liquid and fat cells.  Some of the local anesthetic remains in the tissue, which helps with your recovery.

This process is so precise that it allows Dr Schwartz to shape delicate areas like the inner thighs, arms, chin and neck.  Vaser LipoSelection provides the ability to slim and shape your body but, just like any other lipo treatment, it does not provide a total weight loss solution. However, once you have fat removed, it is gone, and, assuming you have a healthy lifestyle, the weight won’t return or migrate to other parts of your body. Should you experience weight gain or loss, it will be evenly distributed over your entire body.

Dr. Schwartz will often combine the use of Vaser LipoSelection along with several of his other state-of-the-art minimally invasive lipo technologies such as Hi Def Lipo™ and Laser Lipo™.
